I couldn’t help but wonder... if a drink could tell a story, what would ours say?

When we first started Upland Studios, it wasn't all flashing lights and streaming success. It was late nights fueled by cold tea, whiteboards filled with dreams that seemed just out of reach, and a stubborn belief that stories from the margins deserved the main stage. In those early days, I often found myself wishing there was a ritual—a celebration — for the small wins, the unseen battles, the resilience it took to build something out of nothing.

Enter The Upland Affair.

The Upland Affair

Ingredients:

• 4 oz Upland Tea House Western Cape Rooibos, brewed strong + chilled

• 1 oz 1883 Raspberry Syrup

• 0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice

• 2 oz chilled Prosecco

• Fresh raspberry + mint sprig (for garnish)

Directions:

1. Brew Western Cape Rooibos tea strong, chill completely.

2. In a shaker, combine chilled rooibos, raspberry syrup, and lemon juice over ice.

3. Shake gently.

4. Strain into a coupe or flute glass.

5. Top with Prosecco.

6. Garnish with a fresh raspberry and mint.

(Optional rim: Very lightly sugar the rim of the glass for extra drama.)
